ARR Trail Crew
Building, maintaining, and advocating
for trails is a big part of what we do…
Building & Maintaining Trails
Austin Ridge Riders Trail Crew hosts an average of twelve trail work days every year. We train all trail volunteers to help us maintain and/or expand our trail systems in responsible and sustainable ways.
We provide all the tools volunteers need; however, you are encouraged to bring water, work gloves, eye protection, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and closed-toe shoes. The more protective the clothing, the better. Bonus points if you wear your helmet or a hard hat!
Trail Advocacy
To build great trails we must also build strong relationships with land managers and stakeholders, and other nonprofit organizations. Successful trails require years of planning, meetings, and compromise – and club membership supports us in this work!
We frequently meet with land managers, county planners, the Parks and Recreation Department, and organizations like Hill Country Conservancy and Bike Texas, to discuss opportunities for new trails in Central Texas.
