What We Do
We’re working to create more trails close to home…
ARR is a member of Austin Outside, and we partner with groups like Travis County Parks Foundation, Shoal Creek, Conservancy, Hill Country Conservancy, Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, Safe Streets Austin, George Cofer Consulting and others. We have attended confrences hosted by the Professional Trail Builders Association and International Mountain Bike Association, and we have visited trail systems and bike parks across the country to take notes and bring great concepts back to the Austin area.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion.
Austin Ridge Riders exists to create and maintain world-class natural surface single-track trails in the Austin metro area for everyone to enjoy. We believe that ALL Texans deserve access to our wonderful natural resources and the economic and health benefits they provide. As leaders in conservation across Texas, it is our duty that ALL Texans feel welcome and safe in the great outdoors. We need to reduce barriers that prevent people from entering the conservation space and explicitly invite everyone to come and experience what nature, outdoor activities, and conservation have to offer.
Our team has worked diligently with our partners to spark new ideas, partnerships, and collaboration. As organizations work toward a more diverse and inclusive future for the outdoors and conservation, there are many opportunities to partner with and honor organizations and leaders who have been focused on these efforts for years. By honoring their work, organizations not only improve their own diversity efforts but elevate the voices of those who deserve recognition for their leadership and impact. It is our goal to enhance collaborative partnerships that expand successful, proven initiatives.
We will also continuously take an internal look at our recruiting and membership processes for the board, project selection, and more. Through intentional action, we hope to continue leading by example and with purpose. Our hope is that the mountain biking community in Texas will be representative of ALL the Texans that call the Austin area home.
